The most-loved Caterpillar in the world is hungry…Very Hungry! Find and eat all of the Caterpillar’s favorite foods while you learn the fundamentals of numbers and counting, in this beautiful, interactive math game for kids aged two years and up. (Even adults will like playing level five!)
This game has five levels of increasing difficulty. There’s a variety of things to try and different skills to practice, all building a basic math foundation. The Caterpillar will ask you to eat familiar foods from The Very Hungry Caterpillar book. Tap on them to punch out a hole, and find out if you did it right. The music is by Mozart, the art is by Eric Carle, and the game is by the creators of the renowned Peekaboo Barn. We designed it to entertain your child while gradually developing their number skills.
- LEVEL 1: Counting. This level teaches cause and effect and introduces the concept of counting. Kids will also practice with the names and symbols for numbers one through twelve.
- LEVEL 2: Vocabulary. In this level kids identify fruit and food within a larger set of different foods, deciding which food to eat and what to leave untouched.
- LEVEL 3: Quantity. Identify a specific amount of fruit and food within a larger set. For example, see twelve plums but only eat five. Unlike Level 1, kids can’t just tap everything they see!
- LEVEL 4: Addition. Count and eat a specific number of different foods within a set. For example: See five apples, two slices of salami, one ice-cream cone, and four lollipops. Children must eat just one lollipop and two apples. When they do, they will learn they took three bites: this introduces the basic concept of addition.
- LEVEL 5: The Game. Now put all your skills together—with a time limit! Fruits and foods keep sliding into view while kids try to eat what the Caterpillar asks them to find. There is only one minute, so think (and eat) fast! *Points are awarded for each correct food that is found, reinforcing basic addition skills.
We were surprised that even toddlers were loving the first levels, while we’ve been playing Level 5 ourselves. What’s more, the game is localized in Dutch, German, French, Spanish, and Japanese! Practice your numbers and food words in other languages too. Enjoy!

Ever since The Very Hungry Caterpillar ate his way through a week of food, Eric Carle has become known internationally for his distinctive hand-painted tissue collage style and innovative book design. He created some of the first truly interactive storybooks. Now Night & Day Studios has adapted Eric Carle’s vibrant illustrations from My Very First Books into a suite of interactive, educational games.
The app contains 3 levels of game play: Easy (ages 1-3), Medium (ages 2 and up) and Hard (ages 3 and up). These gently increasing stages of difficulty can grow along with your child, and continue to challenge them throughout their early learning years. In Easy mode the screen is divided in half—just like the original books—and your child can swipe the lower and upper halves to find a match (for example, the color yellow with a picture of lemons). The Medium and Hard modes are based on the game of Memory; players are presented with a set of cards face down and must find a pair by flipping over cards and identifying their matches or their related concepts.
For this version, we have translated and localized the app into 6 languages: French, Spanish, Dutch, German, Japanese, UK English. There is a loop mode for endless play, and two different ways for little kids to play Easy mode. With our innovative “tap & hold” feature, you can also help your little ones stay in the game instead of accidentally going to the home screen or changing options. Go to the Options & Help screen and choose Settings to turn on these features or switch to another language.

All exercises can be done with body weight and implements easily acquired in almost any setting (e.g., home, office, hotel room, etc.). The exercise order allows for a total body exercise to significantly increase the heart rate while the lower, upper, and core exercises function to maintain the increased heart rate while developing strength.
Exercises are performed for 30 seconds, with 10 seconds of transition time between bouts. Total time for the entire circuit workout is approximately 7 minutes.

The app is a direct and personal route to his rhythm factory with all the individual percussion parts recorded by Pete. These are not ineffective sequenced patterns but actual recorded audio waiting to groove with rhythm at multiple tempos through your very own mobile device.
Through his decades of studio experience Pete has become a master of layering various percussion instruments into mesmerising rhythm fabrics and flowing grooves. Shakers and congas interwoven with Indian ghatam, pop drum set and Arabic req or else a Carnatic kanjira with some Cuban bongos, Latin cowbells, rock drum kit, seed shakes and surdu. There are dozens of different looped instruments to choose from, each with up to 20 different patterns. You can change the levels, alter the pan, mute, solo, and tweak a low-pass filter giving you a great degree of flexibility over each individual part. Or simply press the random button to randomise all (or some) the parts and get some really funky and unexpected changes. It can even automatically randomise periodically for hands-free unpredictability. The excellent time stretch system and multiple-tempo loop recordings mean that you can get great natural sounding audio across a wide tempo range. Change the number of beats to use in the loops to alter time signature.
Pick from a wide range of solo instruments where you can jam away over the top of the grooves you create. These include all sorts of ethnic percussion instruments from Kanjira and Ghatam, to Djembe, Bongos, Dube and Cajon, and more. There are also custom drum kits from great drummers such as Johnny Rabb, Russ Miller, KJ Sawka, Dave Langguth, Steve Sidelnyk and Scott Pellegrom. With a detailed and complete range of quantize options performed by simply dragging your fingers around, it is possible for even the absolute novice to get some funky grooves immediately.
Additional loops and pad instruments are available for in-app purchase, with more content being added regularly.
There are also incredible filter, pitch bend, delay, reverb, lofi, and distortion effects available for the solo instruments, which really adds a whole new dimension of live performance possibilities. With multiple save and export options, it is possible to record loops or a whole performance to later import into your DAW or other audio app as 44.1kHz 16-bit WAV files. This is great for studio use and can form the basis of a new song idea very easily.

Recently, Bastian, our video guru, was asked to host a workshop about our app iStopMotion on very short notice. He figured the best way would be to show some pictures of people using it and videos that were made with it. Since he didn't have time to prepare a slideshow and didn't know what order to put the photos and videos in, he searched for an app that would allow him to randomly pick photos or videos from the photo roll and display those in a nonlinear presentation on a screen connected via AirPlay or HDMI as he went along with his story. The challenge was that there were some pictures and video in his photo roll he didn't want the audience to see, a problem that most of the solutions proposed by his Twitter friends had.
Because his search did not yield any satisfactory results, we made PhotoPresenter for iOS for him.
And now we can share it with you.

Pinball HD - This game will change your idea of Pinball on the iPad. Each table - Wild West, The Deep, and Jungle style - are masterpieces. You'll be stunned with the level of realism. This is a REAL Pinball simulator with stunning 3D graphics both with or without 3D glasses.
IMPORTANT
• Landscape mode - "full table" view
• Portrait mode - "flying-table" view
• In portrait mode slide up or down your both thumbs to toggle camera view from "flying-table" to "full table".
FEATURES
• 3 pinball tables with unique graphics, instructions, missions system, locations and characters
• Landscape mode shows a full table view. The games can be played in either landscape orientation with the button to the left or right of the screen.
• Portrait mode gives you a flying-table view with the camera panning and zooming over the action. This can only be played when holding the iPad with the button on the bottom. If you activate the screen orientation switch, the game only plays in portrait mode.
• A wonderful 3D engine that does true justice to the graphic capabilities of the iPad.
• Realistic physics.
• Built in help for each table. Tap the circled "I" at the bottom right of each table to get a display detailing instructions and descriptions of the features of each table. Make sure to swipe left and right when viewing since the instructions don't fit on one screen.
• Local and global high scores. Swiping right brings up a table of local high scores and further tapping brings up high scores from copies sold throughout
the world. At the end of each game you are prompted to enter your name and have your score included.
• Unique soundtrack with atmospheric music, sound effects and voices.
• Camera tilt brings dimensionality to the games offering a simulated 3D effect where the image changes depending upon how you tilt the iPad. Camera tilt only works in landscape mode.
• Stereoscopic imaging option (requires anaglyph eyeglasses). You can choose between red-cyan, green-magenta or yellow-blue lenses.
HOW TO PLAY
When running the app, you are presented with a 3D simulated camera zoom, pan and fly-over of one of the games. Tapping on a game's fly-over screen shows/hides main menu. Tap on Play button to start game on current table.
Controls in game:
• Tap ANYWHERE on the left side of screen to control the left flipper and ANYWHERE on the right side to control the right flipper.
• Shake your iPad to realistically nudge the pinball table, but not too much or you'll tilt.
• Tap on the "electronic caption" at the top of the screen to pause or resume your game.
