Это четыре кристалла держащие мир в гармонии и процветании, но они потеряли свои силы и теперь находятся на грани разрушения.
Все началось со странной смены ветра...
Чувствуя что-то зловещее вокруг, судьба свела вместе четырех незнакомцев: юного путешественника Барца, едущего верхом на чокобо; Принцесса Ленна из Замка Тайкун; таинственный Галуф, старик с амнезией тяжкой степени; и капитан пиратов Фарис.
С волевым и целеустремленным настроем духа, четыре героя отправляются на эпическое путешествие.
